The Amiri Diwan has announced the official holiday dates for Eid al-Adha 2023. The holiday will begin on Sunday, June 29th, 2023, and will last for three days.
All government ministries and entities, as well as public sector institutions, will be closed during the holiday. The private sector is also expected to close during the holiday, although some businesses may remain open with reduced hours.
Eid al-Adha is a major Muslim holiday that commemorates the completion of the hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. The holiday is celebrated with prayers, feasts, and the sacrifice of animals.
